Bikepacking the World
-
Since completing my first substantial bikepacking trip, the Idaho Hot Springs Mountain Bike Loop in fall of 2020, I've been on a tear. I've successfully completed the Tour Divide in 2021. It was a 2,500 mile addition border to border because of COVID. In the winter of 22-23, I rode the Baja Divide and then rode it back to the Phoenix area. That was almost 4,000 miles. Most recently, in the fall of 23, I rode what was known at the time to be the longest bikepacking trip in the world, the Eastern Divide Trail.
It was one of the most amazing things that I've ever done. After successfully sticking that feather in my cap, I figured it was time to take a break, get to work, and make some money. As fate would have it, less than two months after completing the longest ride I'd ever done, the next longest bike pack trip in the world was created, the Great Northern Bikepacking Route. At first, I was like, yeah, maybe someday. But, as the seed that was planted in my brain grew and grew, I knew that I wouldn't be able to not do it. So, now the wheels are in motion. My intention is set and clear. I plan on being the first person to ride the entire Great Northern bikepacking route.
Over 9,000 miles from Victoria, British Columbia, all the way to Cape Spear, Newfoundland. Even averaging 75 miles a day will take over four months to get across. Not an easy task.
My plan is to fly to Victoria at the beginning of May 2024 to set myself up with the best chance of success to get across the other side before serious weather moves in over there.
Follow along as I share my story online with all the feels, all the successes and failures, all the struggles all the tears, and all the laughs. I'll be documenting it all. If you're somehow able to support me in this crazy, epic adventure, whether financially or just emotionally in sending me messages, I sure could use it.
I'm selling stickers, patches, buffs, shirts, koozies, all with my Fuck Yeah logo.
And just like in past rides, I will be collecting as many genuine, enthusiastic, fuck yeah videos from people I meet. On this trip, I plan on exchanging a fuck yeah sticker for a fuck yeah!
